Prints and Stock Images of the Caledonian Canal
The 60 mile long Caledonian Canal cuts through the Great Glen connecting the Atlantic to the North Sea giving safe passage rather than the long and more dangerous voyage around Cape Wrath and through the Pentland Firth. The canal opened in 1822 and today is managed by Scottish Canals.
